Following the release of his book test, BloodSucker, Scott St Clair is proud to bring to the community his first book, Ratoon.
Ratoon is a collection of mentalism effects that feature in Scott’s actual repertoire, there are no pipe-dreams, this is all workable mentalism.
“Scott has produced a vibrant collection of simple, direct Mentalism that plays to what I believe is a real mentalists skill set! Top stuff.” Ben Cardall (The Deductionist)
Most of the effects are number based. If you’re not into math(s) in mentalism, think again! Scott has created a series of effects that are not overburdened with the usual, process driven, math(s) that you may be familiar with.
“Maths in mentalism quite often gets slated for being too process heavy and not justified, however I feel you’ve done this perfectly!” Mitchell Kettlewell (Pandora, Prometheus)
Ratoon sets out, in full colour, six of Scott’s working effects – four of which can be performed, together, as a routine. Also included are two short essays and a very straightforward ‘centre’ tear.
The effects are simple to perform and easy for your audience to follow, but they all pack a punch!
“With Ratoon, Scott brings you a series of hard hitting and practical mental effects that are simple and direct – Highly Recommended!” Dr Todd Landman
Simple, Direct Mentalism That You Can Count On!
“Ratoon certainly stands up to its claim as ‘Mentalism You Can Count On’. Scott presents intriguing mysteries that cleverly mould audiences’ perceptions and you are presented with some wonderfully diabolical methods. Highly Recommended!’ Steve Drury
“Wonderful manuscript. It has been written and constructed with a passion and love for the craft of mentalism.” Paul Voodini
“You will do good with this book my friend, well done!” Luca Volpe
"As part of PSYCRETS, I obviously come across some great underground talent, and wanted to give you a 'head up' about Scott St Clair. Having adapted some of Scott's creative psychological entertainment into my own performances - I can vouch for how powerfully they play out. Scott's thoughtfully crafted presentations take the audience on a myriad of enjoyable experiences and outcomes, which is achieved through the nuances and knowledge he has evidently gained as a performer.”
